Durante una reunión de los distribuidores de International, la empresa Navistar anunció que logró una cuota record de mercado en la región para el año fiscal 2011 que terminó en octubre.
Así Navistar mostró un fuerte impulso en la venta de camiones pesados, logrando un 21,6% del mercado, 7,3 puntos sobre el resultado del año fiscal anterior. Además, más de 10 mil vehículos fueron enviados a la región en 2011, lo que constituyó un resultado histórico de Navistar en la región.
“Nuestro éxito continuado en la región es el resultado de nuestra estrategia centrada en el cliente”, dijo Phil Christman, Presidente Global de Operaciones de Camiones de Navistar. “Este es el resultado de proveer una gama de camiones líderes que los clientes desean y del apoyo a esos clientes con la mejor y más fuerte red de distribuidores de la industria”.
Este crecimiento sin precedentes logrado en 2011 se basó en una agresiva estrategia que incluyó el lanzamiento de nuevos modelos como ProStar y TranStar, los que han ganado una excelente reputación entre los clientes en mercados de la región debido a sus innovaciones aerodinámicas y a su mayor maniobrabilidad.
Asimismo, en la reunión de distribuidores en Miami, Navistar premió a algunos distribuidores en 22 países por su contribución a este año récord. De ese modo, la empresa nacional Tractocamiones U.S.A. International fue reconocida por ser Líder en el Mercado de Camiones en el segmento de Camiones Pesados; así como por el Desarrollo Destacado de Marketing y Marca en Perú en 2011.
